Brace Face Update

I am amazed by how much my teeth have moved already in these braces. It’s so exciting!! I’m only on day 19, and there has been significant movement!!

What’s more, I’ve gotten used to having braces, and I actually kind of like them!! They keep me from noshing on food all day at work, and keep me regular on flossing and rinsing.

I’m really looking forward to when my baby tooth gets pulled, and my permanent canine comes into occlusion. I’m going to have a totally different smile!! It’s going to take a lot of getting used to..but I look forward to the change!

Okay, so I’ve all but given up on my dream to become a clinical psychologist. It is THE MOST UN-employable job in the United States with a 19.5% unemployment rate. No thank you…

So, I’ve been looking around, trying to find a similar career option for me to pursue. The most reasonable one that I have come across is School Counseling. This (master’s only) degree has a 0.0% unemployment rate. Sounds good to me! The only thing I don’t get is that there is no such thing as a bachelors degree in Counseling. So….what am I supposed to get my bachelor’s degree in?

I’m assuming the answer is Education, which is a science degree. I have my associates in arts. I may be able to get my bachelors in arts (more general shit, woohoo), then get my master of arts in teaching (MAT) which is a year long program. I’m going to have to talk to a friend of mine about how the whole teaching education shit goes down at SIU, cause I just want a damn degree with career options!!!
